Role overview

We're looking for a Head of Operations to be the connective tissue of Tower. You'll be the person who makes sure the office runs, the team gets paid, candidates have a great experience, investors get the updates they're owed, and the founders' time is spent on the things only they can do. As Tower scales, you'll be the operational backbone that lets the rest of the company move fast without things falling through the cracks.

This is a broad, hands-on role spanning office management, HR, finance, executive support, and culture. You'll work directly with the CEO and CTO, partner closely with our vendors in Germany and the US, and own the day-to-day rhythm of how Tower operates as a company.

The ideal candidate is unflappable, organized to a fault, comfortable with ambiguity, and gets genuine satisfaction from making other people more effective.

What you'll do

Office & workplace operations

• Run the day-to-day of our Berlin office: receive guests and packages, manage building access and keys, coordinate with cleaning staff, and keep the kitchen and supplies stocked (coffee, drinks, snacks, paper goods).
• Purchase and manage office equipment, and maintain a clean inventory of company hardware (laptops, monitors, peripherals) including provisioning for new hires and offboarding for leavers.
• Make sure visiting customers, candidates, and investors have a polished, welcoming experience whenever they walk through the door.
• Own relationships with our landlord, cleaners, and office vendors, and handle the small fires that come with running a physical space.

People operations & recruiting

• Partner with hiring managers across engineering, GTM, and product to run a high-quality recruiting process: source candidates on LinkedIn against agreed profiles, schedule screens and interview loops, and own candidate experience end-to-end.
• Onboard new employees: collect paperwork, coordinate with our payroll providers in Germany and (via EOR where relevant) the UK, set up equipment and accounts, and make sure week one feels great.
• Maintain employee records and ensure HR policy documents are signed, current, and compliant with German labor law (including BDSG/GDPR obligations) and equivalent UK requirements.
• Administer benefits, time-off tracking, and on-call arrangements (Rufbereitschaft) in coordination with the CTO and external counsel.
